RARITAN, NJ – Today, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce announced its endorsement of Rep. Tom Kean Jr. for New Jersey’s Seventh District. The event was a stop on the Chamber’s Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour, a national six-week bus tour promoting free enterprise.
The U.S. Chamber endorses candidates for federal office who will support policies that drive innovation, grow the economy, and create opportunities for American businesses and workers.
The Free Enterprise Express made a Main Street stop in Raritan, where Rep. Kean joined U.S. Chamber Board Member Rich Bagger to meet with local business owners and see free enterprise at work. Zio's Market Italian Deli, a solo business rooted in family, opened its doors just last month and turned a dream into reality. Usual Suspects, a nearby bar and restaurant, opened in December 2025 because the owners believed Raritan was a great town for entrepreneurs. Together, their stories demonstrate how pro-growth communities help small businesses succeed and why the Opportunity Tour is traveling the country to spotlight them.

The national Free Enterprise Express Opportunity Tour is a six-week trip through 20 states and more than 50 events to make the case for free enterprise in communities across America and push back against growing support for government-directed economic policies that threaten economic freedom, opportunity, innovation, and growth.
The effort is part of a broader Chamber initiative, the New Fight for Free Enterprise, a multi-year effort to organize, mobilize, and make the case for free enterprise everywhere public opinion is shaped, public policy is made, and future generations learn what it takes for people and communities to thrive.
